Joe Franco is the Vice President of Programs and Development at The Washington Campus.
He is responsible for organizing and leading Executive MBA programs for a consortium of the nation’s leading business schools and a variety of customized continuing education seminars for public sector, for-profit, and nonprofit organizations.
He is responsible for creating and cultivating external partnerships with think tanks, networking associations and existing educational partners. He also works to create new and innovative programs with new schools or other organizations; and developing and diversifying the Campus’ network of speakers, supporters, and other key stakeholders.
Prior to joining The Washington Campus, He has held a variety of leadership positions in government affairs and advocacy. He worked in the government relations departments for the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, American Diabetes Association and LeadingAge. He is a nationally recognized leader in advocacy, including being honored as Association Trend’s Leading Association Lobbyist for 2017, featured as a Top Lobbyist for the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics, listed numerous times on The Hill’s Top Lobbyist Lists, and also winning two Campaigns and Elections Reed Awards for Best Lobby Day and Best Use of Advocacy Data.
He is also currently an adjunct professor at The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management and teaches graduate level courses on Interest Group Politics, Grassroots Advocacy and State and Local Politics. He is a proud graduate of George Washington University and earned a Master’s in Political Management from the Graduate School of Political Management in 2010 and was also selected as a Bryce Harlow fellow from 2008-2010. He earned a bachelors in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
