The Washington Campus programs involve offsite visits to locations which could include government offices, government agencies, non-government organizations and other venues around Washington, D.C. Some of these venues will require that participants travel by foot or wheelchair if necessary. By registering, you acknowledge that you are in the physical condition to travel between various offsite locations. All programs have components which may vary, including venues, offsite visits, speakers, and presentations. The Washington Campus provides example agendas from prior programs but makes no claim that your program will have the same components as those in the example agenda. Further, participants should expect that components such as venues, offsite visits, speakers and presentations will differ from those provided in the example agenda(s).

The Washington Campus will make every effort to choose offsite visits that are reasonably safe. However, participant safety is the responsibility of the participant and the offsite visit location owners. Events and/or incidents at offsite locations that are out of the control of The Washington Campus are not the responsibility of The Washington Campus and by registering for a Campus program, you release liability of The Washington Campus for such events and/or incidents. Many offsite locations have strict security procedures, including limitations on permissible items which may or may not include: pocket knives, food/drink, cameras, phones, and other items. The Washington Campus provides a list of guidelines for all venues/locations to be visited during each program and expects that all participants will prepare themselves accordingly for each location. Some locations visited during programs by The Washington Campus require prior clearance for admission, which includes prior submission of personal information, which may include Social Security or passport numbers. If participants refuse to provide the requested information, cannot produce the requested information, or do not give The Washington Campus consent to submit this information, the participant will be unable to participate in that component of the program. If the security office at a particular venue deems for any reason that a participant is unable to enter a venue, the participant will be unable to participate in that component of the program. The Washington Campus will not be responsible for any security actions, decisions or resulting consequences regarding participants who are unable to participate in a component of a program. By registering for the program and providing requested information, participants automatically provide consent for The Washington Campus to submit the requested information when needed to the venues to be visited.
